PEMBROKE – Athletic department officials at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced on Thursday that they have extended a partnership with Jersey Mikes for the 2024-25 athletic season.

“The pride of being a UNCP graduate spills over in owning a business in Pembroke,” said owner Rob Gibson. “My support and partnership with the University is just a small way of giving back to the community and school that means so much to me.”

Under the terms of the contract, Jersey Mikes will have advertising at football, men’s and women’s basketball, as well as baseball. Students, faculty, and staff can also take advantage of a 10% discount when dining at the restaurant with a valid UNCP ID. Customers are also encouraged to join the Jersey Mike’s points rewards program to earn free subs.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Jersey Mikes, whose commitment to supporting our athletic programs strengthens our community and fuels our success both on and off the field,” said Assistant Athletics Director for External Revenue, Graysen Cockerham.

Jersey Mike’s makes a Sub Above – fresh sliced, authentic Northeast-American style sub on fresh baked bread and sliced fresh in front of customers. Subs are prepared Mike’s Way with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, oil, vinegar and spices. Jersey Mike’s carefully considers every aspect of what it does – every slice, every sandwich, every store – and provides customers with sustenance and substance too.
